Star Wars fans were stunned to see Dark Rey in The Rise of Skywalker trailer released at the D23 Expo. And since there's only less than a month away from the movie's premiere, the theories are only getting bigger with all the content being released so far. Some fans think Dark Rey could be a Force Vision, but is she?
John Boyega, who plays the role of Finn, took to Twitter to share a photo from Episode IX. The image seems to be a still; showing his character with newcomer Naomi Ackie who will play Jannah. There's not much revealed from the image though, but the actor's caption was very intriguing. "She's changed," Boyega wrote, giving context to their surprised facial expressions in the photo. The cryptic tweet sent fans to a frenzy, with most of them speculating that the actor was pertaining to Daisy Ridley's Dark Rey. They think it's either a scene that implies Rey's transformation as a result of her duel with Kylo Ren. Especially since the location seems to be similar to that of where the battle ensued shown in the trailers. Others think this could be a pivotal scene where Rey might show off some of her new powers.
On the other hand, some fans think it's just something simple and that Boyega is just trying to get the fans hyped up. They speculated that it would be a scene where Finn was pushed by Rey, which isn't the character's true nature, hence Finn's shocked expression.
