It's been nearly four years since the Star Wars sequel trilogy concluded and surprisingly enough, it's still the subject of discourse amongst the fandom. The trilogy, which kickstarted the Disney era started off great, with The Force Awakens reigniting the fans' enthusiasm for the beloved science-fiction property.

However, the sequels wouldn't maintain momentum for long as the subsequent two films — The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker would receive unfavorable reviews from longtime followers of the franchise. Some fans believe that Episode VIII is the worst entry in the trilogy while others claim Episode IX is a massive abomination.

Of course, everything is subjective but if you'd ask John Boyega, who played Finn in all three films, he believes one polarizing entry is the worst of them all.

A clip from Boyega's 2020 interview with the hit YouTube web series Hot Ones resurfaced recently that many fans are only learning about. During one part of the show's segment where guests are asked rapid-fire questions, Boyega was tasked to rank the sequel films from best to worst.

The actor would make it seem like he wants no part of the discourse but after a momentary pause, he ranked each film with zero hesitation. Unsurprisingly, he chose The Force Awakens as the best one, followed by The Rise of Skywalker, and then The Last Jedi.

He immediately clarified that "they're all lovely" but would also make hilarious a side-eye expression. Check it out here:

Meanwhile, Boyega's return to a galaxy far, far away is looking more likely than ever. Turns out, the 31-year-old said he's open to making a Star Wars comeback after patching things up with Lucasfilm a couple of years back.

Boyega is rumored to reprise his role in Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's 2026 film headlined by Daisy Ridley and while nothing official has been set in stone, the project could definitely use a character like Finn.
