It goes without saying that John Boyega had a pretty rocky relationship with Disney and Lucasfilm after signing up to do the uber-polarizing Star Wars sequel trilogy. Of course, most of you are well aware that the actor has previously aired his grievances over the mishandling of his character Finn and actors who are people of color for that matter and it created quite a buzz within Hollywood.

But now, all seems to be good between the British-Nigerian actor and the production companies and he's finally able to crack some jokes about his time in the franchise. Appearing on WIRED's Autocomplete series to promote his latest film Breaking, Boyega poked a little fun at the project that arguably launched his career into the stratosphere, making him a household name in Hollywood.

When asked "What is John Boyega known for?", he jokingly said: "I feel like I'm known for Attack the Block to some people and Star Wars to most. 'Cause I've done a little film called Star Wars. It was an indie, low budget, not a lot of funding but a lot of people know it for some reason."

Speaking of Finn, Boyega recently declared that he has no intentions of returning to Star Wars and he'd rather pursue other acting opportunities outside the franchise. Rumor has it that he's set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and although he also shrugged off the idea during a recent interview, insider reports say otherwise.

Would it be too farfetched to think that it's the reason why he's doubtful about his future in a galaxy far, far away? Probably not.

Meanwhile, Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy is available for streaming on Disney+.
