It's no secret that The Last Jedi was a divisive movie and has been part of debates among Star Wars fans. However, these fans aren't alone because it seems like even some of the cast members aren't exactly a hundred percent sold on the film.

In a recent interview with HypeBeast, John Boyega, who plays Finn in the sequel trilogy, shared some of his thoughts about Rian Johnson's Star Wars movie. "The Force Awakens I think was the beginning of something quite solid," Boyega said. However, the actor admitted that he was "feeling a bit iffy" when it comes to The Last Jedi.

To be clear, the actor pointed out that he didn't "necessarily agree with a lot of the choices" made in the film. He even revealed that he spoke "a lot" about these with Mark Hamill, admitting that these were some of the topics of their conversations. "And it was hard for all of us," he added. "Because we were separated."

It seems like Boyega preferred to be doing more scenes as a trio along with the characters Rey and Poe. He thinks the original Star Wars films have more of a "trio feel" because it shows Luke's journey together with Han and Leia's "strong dynamic."

"I don't know how quickly we're going to be able to establish that longterm dynamic with [Episode] Nine," the actor admits. But he pointed out that if the upcoming film were to explore the same dynamic, he thinks it "would be cool."

Boyega also admitted that even after three films, fans didn't get to know much of Rey, Poe, and Finn as much as they got to know Han, Luke, and Leia. "And maybe that's a great opportunity to get to know them a little bit more," he added.

That being said, it seems like we will get to see more of the sequel heroes since Oscar Isaac revealed in another interview that the film will "explore" the dynamic between the three characters.
