Jo Jung Suk will be headlining multiple movies in the upcoming year as the South Korean star has been cast in the new film Pilot.

Fans would get to see more of this South Korean star on the big screen after confirming his appearance in the Kim Han Gyeol-led movie.

From Yulje Doctor to Hotshot Pilot

Helmed by the Crazy Romance director and the production company Shortcake, who is behind the success of Netflix's D.P, Jo Jung Suk's new movie follows the story of an unemployed man named Jung Woo.

It depicts how he lost his job but finds his way back after he was hired due to an unexpected identity laundering.

Jo Jung Suk is expected to deliver a whole lot of entertainment as he plays the charismatic Jung Woo.

Interestingly, Pilot is the actor's second movie this 2022 as he is also set to headline the upcoming drama film.

Jo Jung Suk Returns to the Big Screen with the Drama Movie The Land of Happiness

According to a local media outlet, The Land of Happiness has recently begun its production featuring lead stars Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Jae Myung, and Lee Sun Kyun.

Directed by Choo Chang Min, who is also behind the thriller mystery film Seven Years of Night, the upcoming movie revolves around Jung In Hoo, a lawyer who struggles to save a person.

However, he finds himself in the middle of an odd situation after the person he is trying to help gets involved in an incident that shook modern history.

In the same report, Jo Jung Suk shared that he enjoyed filming the movie.

"Just like the title of the movie, I was happy every moment with my colleagues," he said, while Lee Sun Kyun sees the upcoming movie as "a work that became a challenge in many ways."

In addition, the lead star says that he would like to "finish it well and present a movie that will be memorable for a long time to the audience."

The actor's big-screen comeback comes after his portrayal of Lee Ik Jun in the mega-hit series Hospital Playlist.

Viewers lauded how the actor's charm synchronized with his co-stars' vibe as they played doctors at Yulje Medical Center.

Joining Ju Jung Suk is Jeon Mi Do, who is also his on-screen partner, as well as Kim Dae Myung, Yoo Yeon Seok and Jung Kyung Ho.

Will Jo Jung Suk Return in Hospital Playlists 3?

Amid the public's demand for PD Shin Won Ho to release the much-awaited sequel, there's no official confirmation if the beloved medical K-drama will return for season 3.

However, the cast made millions of hearts flutter after they teased viewers with a photo, suggesting a possible reunion.

It came after Jung Kyung Ho dropped a group photo on his Instagram featuring the five lead stars wearing their white lab gowns.

It was then followed by Kim Dae Myung, who shared a different photo but with the 99ers, a.k.a the name of their band.

Unfortunately, the duo is referring to the release of the director's edition of Hospital Playlist in Blue Ray, which includes the drama's seasons 1 and 2 with special commentary from the actors.
