J. Jonah Jameson Cameo Reportedly Leading to More Cameos in the MCU

J.K. Simmon's cameo as J.Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: Far From Home might have come as a pleasant surprise to Marvel fans however there are rumors going around saying that the J.Jonah Jameson scene in Marvel's second Spider-Man movie may have led to even more cameos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to a report by BGR, sources have told the entertainment news outlet that Simmons has already filmed scenes for another appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this time in an undisclosed project in the franchise.

Though there's very little information to go on with the report, the publication suggests that this project may very well be one of the titles Marvel has lined up for Phase 4 of the MCU. While this movie may most likely be Marvel's Spider-Man 3 movie set to release in July 16, 2021, Simmons could very well appear in other Marvel movies.

As a news reporter, J. Jonah Jameson can be seen making reports about all the different heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so fitting the character into cameo scenes of other upcoming Marvel movies shouldn't be a problem.

Speaking in The Jess Cagle Show by Sirius XM (via Collider), Simons revealed how he hoped to see more of his character in the MCU.

"Well yeah, [I'll be back as J. Jonah Jameson] that's the short answer. There is a future for J. Jonah Jameson after a several-year hiatus," the actor said, "He showed up very briefly for those who were wise enough to stay through the credits of Far From Home… There is one more JJJ appearance in the can, and from what I'm hearing there's a plan for yet another. So hopefully JJJ will continue now and forever."

Fans are eager to see Simons make a return as well. Jameson is an important part of Spider-Man lore, and it would be great to see more of the reporter in the MCU.
