JJ Abrams Confirms Greg Grunberg's Snap Wexley Is Back In Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker

The Star Wars Episode IX panel at Star Wars Celebration was truly packed with awesome new updates about the highly anticipated film. Amidst all the exciting news about the movie, J.J. Abrams casually confirmed that he is once again bringing back Greg Grunberg as Temmin 'Snap' Wexley in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Abrams was showing photos of the new aliens in the film, specifically the curious creature that has been revealed to be called Klad. The first image shown at the panel features the director with the alien. As Abrams explains that Klad is a friend of the Resistance and was brought in by Chewbacca, the second picture of the alien was revealed and this time, the creature is with Wexley.

"There's Greg Grunberg," Abrams casually says, much to the delight of fans.

Abrams and Grunberg have already collaborated on several projects prior to Star Wars. In fact, some people believe that the Heroes actor is actually Abrams' lucky charm considering that any project featuring Grunberg has been a success. Hopefully, this will continue with The Rise of Skywalker.

The Episode IX panel certainly concluded on a high note as Abrams finally unveiled the trailer and official title for the film. Although Wexley wasn't part of the teaser, we're hoping to see more of the Resistance pilot in action this December.

For now, the Rise of Skywalker trailer advertises the film being released for December but there is a possibility that it could get a new premiere date. In the meantime, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is scheduled for release on December 20.
