Jill Duggar is ready to tell it all about her family and their controversial religion in Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets.

Prime Video drops a new trailer for Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, teasing the revelations Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, are about to make. From their religious beliefs to IBLP's pastor's controversies, fans are about to know it all.

The Duggar Family's Controversial Religious Beliefs

In the clip, the 32-year-old teased a story that is about to be told.

"And I would rather be the one telling it," she said in the trailer, per E! News.

From there, she revealed they were part of the IBLP, the Institute in Basic Life Principles, as far as she could remember.

The religion is a non-denominational Christian organization founded by pastor Bill Gothard. It teaches conservative values, homeschooling practices, and female obedience.

Jill, who's part of the TLC series 19 Kids and Counting and the daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, will be giving a good look at the organization's history.

"The IBLP teachings aren't Christianity. They're something entirely different," another person said in the trailer. "The institute raises little predators."

"Gothard turned every father into a cult leader and every home into an island," another claimed.

Jim and Michell raised their 19 kids under Gothard's teachings. In Jinger Duggar Vuolo's book Becoming Free Indeed, she revealed that she revered the minister in her younger years.

"When you grow up in a tight-knit community where everyone believes the same things about everything—not just who God is, but also how men and women are supposed to dress and speak—it's hard to even consider the possibility that what you were taught was wrong," she wrote.

She also revealed that learning the teachings of IBLP during her childhood resulted in "exhaustion and fear in my life."

Gothard resigned from his post at IBLP in 2014 after facing over 30 claims of sexual harassment from former employees.

The pastor denied the accusations, but the revelation had already tainted his reputation.
