Fans are about to see more of the mother-daughter duo Georgia (Brianne Howey) and Ginny (Antonia Gentry) after Netflix renews Ginny & Georgia for two more seasons during the streamer’s Upfront presentation on Wednesday, May 17.
By the looks of it, there will be more stories about the angsty teenager who feels more mature than her 30-something mother in Ginny & Georgia.
Ginny & Georgia’s New Showrunner
Aside from the two-season renewal, the upcoming two seasons will have a new showrunner, Sarah Glinski, replacing Debra J. Fisher, per TVLine.

Hence, fans have much to look forward to in the third and fourth seasons.
What Happened in Ginny & Georgia Season 2?
After an almost two-year break, Ginny & Georgia Season 2 finally dropped and saw Georgia open up to Paul about her abusive ex, Gil, her wrongdoings, and her troubled past in the season finale.
However, she chose not to tell the truth about how she killed her two former husbands.
Despite the revelations, Paul still wanted to marry Georgia, stating she had already ruined him.

The two eventually ended up married. However, their supposed romantic first dance was interrupted by the police, who arrested Georgia for the murder of Cynthia’s dying husband, Tom.
As expected, everyone was left in awe, including Paul, Georgia, Austin, who saw his mom suffocating Tom with a pillow, and the rest of their guests.
Georgia was then taken away in handcuffs.
What Will Happen in Ginny & Georgia Season 3?
With the second season’s major twist and turn of events, would Paul see Georgia differently now in Ginny & Georgia Season 3?
Paul might start suspecting Georgia that she’s not telling him everything.
But for the creator/executive producer Sarah Lampert, “I think once you’re arrested for murder, stuff’s going to come to the surface.”
She also hinted that what happened to Joe, Cynthia, and Georgia in the eighth to the tenth episodes would play a major part in the third season.

However, it would not necessarily be romantic.
“Plot-wise, we are laying seeds that you won’t realize were laid until we get a Season 3, and if we’re able to tell the story we want to tell, it will all make sense,” she explained. “And everything will come back around in a way that you were not expecting.”
