Jessica Williams to Play Bigger Role in Fantastic Beasts 3


Jessica Williams made a brief appearance in the Crimes of Grindelwald as Professor Eulalie "Lally" Hicks, a teacher at Ilvermonry School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the American counterpart of the original Harry Potter franchise's Hogwarts and has now been confirmed to return to the upcoming third film with a bigger role.

Writer J.K. Rowling has hinted in the past via a tweet of this change in Lally's role writing: "You only see a HINT of Lally in Fantastic Beasts 2. Her true glory is revealed in FB3." Although more details of how her character will play a major role have yet to surface. Previous reports from The Leaky Cauldron have, however, established that she belongs to Thunderbird House.

David Yates is also set to return as the film's director and is expected to return for any more following sequels. Previous reports have confirmed that the new film will be set in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and will once again star Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald. The ensemble also includes returning Ezra Miller as Credence/Aurelius Dumbledore, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, and Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein.

While the third installment to the film series has no official title yet, the production will reportedly start filming in Spring next year. Fantastic Beasts 3 will release in theaters on November 12, 2021.
