Fantastic Beasts 3 Will Take Place in Brazil, More Details Revealed

The Fantastic Beasts franchise has promised to be a globe-trotting one, and it looks like we finally have the location for the next movie.

According to Deadline, Fantastic Beasts 3 will take place in Brazil, and will have the whole gang back together from Newt and friends to Grindelwald and Dumbledore. What's more, the movie is said to have a more substantial role for Jessica Williams who plays Professor Lally Hicks, a teacher at the American magic school, Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

With the location of the story moving to Brazil, I have a feeling we're going to see more magical creatures from that part of the world. So far, the only magical creature I guess is most famous from that part of the world is the Chupacabra, but I'm open to seeing more obscure creatures from folklore.

Though the hype was amped, The Crimes of Grindelwald managed to be an all-new low for the Wizarding World franchise, and it even managed to make Newt a supporting character in his own movie. Hopefully with the third film, J.K. Rowling has managed to make a more engaging story, and maybe we could actually have more focus on actual fantastic beasts. If she wants to make a film about Grindelwald and Dumbledore, I think she should've just started another franchise. I mean, isn't that the point of the whole "Wizarding World" branding?

For now, Fantastic Beasts 3 is set for a release on Nov. 12, 2021.
