‪Jessica Jones Star Draws Comeback Speculations After New Photo

MCU fans have their fingers crossed that one of their favorite Defenders, Jessica Jones, will mark her onscreen return after actress Krysten Ritter shared some snaps that gave fans something to hold on to. With Born Again bringing Charlie Cox's Daredevil back, there’s a glimmer of hope that they might do the same thing with the Marvel heroine.

In a now-expired Instagram story (via Twitter user Demolidor Brasil), Ritter shared some workout photos at a local gym, including utilizing weights and the treadmill and donning a T-shirt that read "I Choose Justice" and bears the iconic Daredevil symbol, leaving many to believe the actress is dropping hints for her MCU return.

Despite Ritter having mixed feelings about returning as the superhero, in September 2021, she again opened up about playing Jones once more. “I absolutely love Jessica more than anything. And I loved those years playing her,” Ritter told Comicbook.com “If there was ever an opportunity for her to pop up anywhere, I would be the first [to say yes]. I may or may not have the jacket ready to go in my closet. So, you never know, but if I ever had the opportunity to play her again, I would be so thrilled.”

“I'm always down to do it again,” she continued. “It was an absolute dream. And I love her. I love that character. I love the way that she connected with so many people in a deep way and resonated with women and girls in an exciting way. I am just so proud that I got to play such an iconic character.”

With Cox gearing up again as Matt Murdoch to appear in Marvel's upcoming show Echo, it was also revealed that his character's story will follow Matt as he is looking for an unspecified former ally, which sparked speculation from The Weekly Planet podcast that the said former ally is none other than Ritter's Jessica Jones.

Based on the comic book character created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos, Melissa Rosenberg created Jessica Jones. Following Ritter's opening of her own private detective firm, the series follows her as a former superhero with extraordinary strength and other unique skills. The series also features Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Wil Traval, Erin Moriarty, Eka Darville, Carrie-Anne Moss, David Tennant, and J. R. Ramirez.
