Jessica Jones Season 2 May Introduce New Baddies

Filming has already begun for the second season of Jessica Jones, and while our heroine, portrayed by Krysten Ritter, is already in New York City with Wil Travel, who plays Nuke, a couple of new characters have been discovered via the character breakdowns of the season.

The Hashtag Show, via MCU Exchange, managed to get its hands on four character breakdowns. What's more, three of them are slated to be a series regular, while the other is only a fractional series regular:

"Dr. Kirby: 60s, male, open ethnicity, scientist & freethinker. SERIES REGULAR – ONE YEAR DEAL
Presley: Late 30s, male, African American, intelligent, driven, self-assured. FRACTIONAL SERIES REGULAR
Oliver: 34-38, male, Latino, artistic, paternal, smart, scruffy, and hip. SERIES REGULAR
Ingrid: Early-mid 30s, 5'8-5'11, female, dark hair, attractive and edgy, has a history of living on the streets. Educated as a nurse, but street-wise. She is attracted to men and women. SERIES REGULAR"

Apart from these breakdowns, the source also presents the possible characters that would fit the descriptions. First, Dr. Kirby is speculated to be Dr. Karl Malus, as he ties in nicely with the first season's loose end for the hunt for who's responsible for Jessica's powers. Besides the good fit for the character, he can also be a good force for introducing other characters under his wing.

Presley may actually be Paladin from Daredevil's universe. He has had interactions with the Defenders, and given how the ensemble show will also be underway, looping him in this time would be a logical choice.

Oliver may be Otis Johnson, though this seems to be the most unsure of the theories. His ties to the show make him a good candidate though. While there are two possible characters for Ingrid (three, if you consider the high possibility of a series-original character), the most appealing option is Typhoid Mary.

The character breakdown is a dead ringer to the Daredevil ‘s enemy and former lover in the universe. Plus, having her as the big bad to Jessica for the second season would be a nice flourish.

Jessica Jones will return for its second season on Netflix next year.
