Jessica Henwick Teases Iron Fist Spin-Off Daughters of the Dragon with Misty Knight and Colleen Wing

There is little doubt that Colleen Wing was one of the most interesting characters who was introduced in Iron Fist and fans were hoping that the third season of the Netflix series would eventually follow her adventures as the new Iron Fist. However, the show was cancelled before Season 3 could be announced. However, that doesn't mean that Marvel didn't have big plans for Colleen and her friend Misty Knight. Jessica Henwick has just confirmed that they almost worked on a spin-off series focusing on the Daughters of the Dragon.

Henwick recently spoke to ComicBookMovie while promoting her new movie Love and Monsters and it didn't take long before the conversation went to Iron Fist. Interestingly, the former Game of Thrones star pointed out that Marvel had wanted to team her up with Luke Cage actress Simone Missick for a spin-off.

"There had been very light discussions about Daughters of the Dragon happening which I would have loved because working opposite Simone was such a dream, and I think she's so talented and perfect for the role," Henwick said. Unfortunately, the plans never got past that.

"I do remember some very vague discussions, but you keep your fingers crossed and never know what's going to happen in this industry," Henwick added before stating that she was satisfied to be given the chance to play Colleen.

"I'm just glad I got to play such an incredible arc with Colleen and I feel very happy that we ended on such a high note for her," she said.

Although we won't get to see Colleen and Misty kicking ass together, you can still expect to see Henwick in action in Love and Monsters, which premieres on October 16.
