The 38-year-old star started his entertainment career in the late ‘90s. He debuted in the TV series Get Real and a made-for-TV movie, Lightning: Fire from the Sky.
He tasted his first global recognition when he did Roger Dodger, winning the Most Promising Actor at the San Diego Film Festival.
He did a number of indie projects from 2005 to 2009 and received his breakthrough in the movie Zombieland. His success continued when he appeared in the critically acclaimed movie The Social Network, earning him nominations from the major award-giving bodies.

He then did the sequel movies Now You See Me 2 and Zombieland: Double Tap. As a writer, he started in the 2011 play Asuncion, followed by The Revisionist and The Spoils.
He now serves as one of the Board of Advisors for the radio show/podcast, Playing on Air, and created the play A Little Part of All of Us.

According to The Things, the actor-director didn’t reveal his paycheck for his successful movie The Social Network, but it was quite expected to be big. In fact, this might have paved the way for him to negotiate better deals for his following projects after getting an Oscar nod.
