The MCU actor's accident was a result of helping his family member who got stuck in the snowy weather in the area. He used his 14,330-pound snowplow machine to assist them. However, by the time that he was speaking to them after, it started rolling and end up hitting him.

"At this point, it is observed that the PistenBully started to roll. In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempts to get back into the driver seat of the PistenBully. Based on our investigation, it’s at this point that Mr. Renner is run over by the PistenBully," Sheriff Darin Balaam said in the press conference detailing the accident.

The situation was ruled a "tragic accident" by the sheriff and foul play was also ruled out. The investigation is also ongoing regarding the accident with the snowplow machine's mechanical failure being seen as the probable cause that led to what happened.

This is certainly an encouraging sign about Renner's continuing recuperation from the accident and all of us here are wishing for his swift recovery.
