In December 2021, the actress’ agency, My Company, shared that the 27-year-old beauty is dating filmmaker Lee Choong Hyun.
In a statement obtained by Soompi, Jeon Jong Seo’s agent released an official statement saying, “She is currently dating director Lee Choong Hyun. The two of them had good feelings for each other and recently began a romantic relationship.”

According to her management, the couple had just started their romance recently; this is because the actress met her now-boyfriend during the production of her movie The Call.
She starred in the 2020 thriller film alongside Park Shin Hye, where she played the antagonist Oh Yeong Sook.
In the film, her character lived in the past while Kim Seo Yeon, portrayed by the Hallyu star, lived in the present and was only connected by an old phone.
Interestingly, The Call was directed by none other than Jeon Jong Seo’s boyfriend, Lee Choong Hyun.
The 32-year-old director spoke about his relationship with the actress and revealed how they started to get to know each other.
In an exclusive report cited by JTBC News, he mentioned that they “became naturally interested in each other while filming The Call,” adding that their romance “naturally turned to dating.”
Moreover, the director pointed out that they never hid their relationship and went out on public dates.
Lee Choong Hyun also revealed that their acquaintances knew that they were dating.

Who is Jeon Jong Seo’s Boyfriend?
The 32-year-old Lee Choong Hyun scored a nod as Best New Director at the 30th Buil Film Awards, 26th Chunsa Film Art Awards and 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards for the film “The Call.”
Despite not bagging trophies, the movie took home Baeksang Arts awards 2021 Best Actress in the Film category, won by Jeon Jong Seo. In addition, she also got the same category at the 30th Buil Film Awards for the same film.
Before helming “The Call,” Lee Choong Hyun knew that he wanted to be a filmmaker when he grew up. With this, he began making short movies during high school, among which were the 2007 short film Tell Me and Open the Window, released in 2008.
Back in college, he majored in media communication and journalism and first landed in an advertising agency after graduating.
From making full-length commercials, Jeon Jong Seo’s boyfriend ventured into filmmaking and had his first-ever film in 2015, titled Bargain.
