Jeon Jong Seo barged into the Korean film industry with her remarkable skills, especially in thriller films. At the young age of 27, the actress already garnered an honorable award at the 57th Baeksang Awards.

So far, she only has three films under her belt: Burning, The Call, and Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon. Even with a bit of spotlight in the industry and starting her career in 2018, the actress is good enough that she managed to score the lead role in Nothing Serious.

Jeon Jong-Seo's New Project: All About Nothing Serious

Jeon Jong-Seo has been tapped to play the role of Ja-young in the upcoming rom-com. The character is dumped by her boyfriend immediately after a month of dating.

Meanwhile, her on-screen partner Son Suk-Ku scored the role of Woo-ri. He is a sex columnist who still cannot get over his recent breakup but is determined to write his novel despite his heartbreak.

Both Ja-young and Woo-ri join a dating app where they get to know each other. However, they both agreed not to speak or share any personal information and why they joined the app. After a while, they decide to meet in person and find out they have a lot in common.

Their similarities lead them to fall in love. Unfortunately, both of them still have their hearts in the past.

"My character shows what women in their late 20s really experience and think about," the actress said.

Nothing Serious will premiere in November 2021.

Jeon Jong-Seo Debuts First English-Language Film

Aside from her first rom-com show, the actress also recently debuted her first English-language film, Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon.

Jeon Jong-Seo spoke highly of the project during the 26th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). According to the actress, she was cast after her audition process, which included sending clips to producers and holding a meeting with the director.

The Korean actress plays the role of Mona in Ana Lily Amirpour-directed film. She plays the role of Mona, who has been admitted to a mental hospital since the day she was born. The girl then manages to escape from a mental hospital before meeting a stripper who tries to benefit from her supernatural powers.

Jeon Jong-Seo is currently busy working on the Korean version of the hit crime series Money Heist.
