Jeffery Dean Morgan Still Wants To Become The DCEU’s Flashpoint Batman

The future of the Flashpoint movie may still be largely uncertain over at the DC Extended Universe, but Jeffrey Dean Morgan still wants to play the Flashpoint version of Batman if DC would go on with its continuity.

Ever since Morgan played Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, everyone's been clamoring for the Walking Dead star to take on Thomas Wayne Batman in DC's Flashpoint movie. However, despite the demand for Flashpoint Batman, DC's Flash movie kept on encountering issues during production, losing its director time and time again.

Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com, Morgan expressed his continued interest in playing Thomas Wayne Batman, explaining how much he loved the Flashpoint comic book story. Sure, DC might have a few continuity issues here and there, but once the DCEU gets back on track, then there might be room for Flashpoint Batman to appear.

"Look, I don't know, I mean if there's a chance that would ask me, I'd say yes. I think the Flashpoint story is, it's my favorite story. I would love to do it. But, you know, DC is DC and they're, you know, it's a constant…," the actor it seems like they're always kinda switching up who's running it and what they're gonna do. So hopefully, what I'd like to see is a little continuity with DC, have them get on the track, and then, man I'd be honored and love to do it more than anything."

For those who aren't familiar with the Flashpoint arc, the comic book crossover details an altered DC universe caused by Barry Allen. In this universe, only Allen is aware of the differences between the regular timeline and the altered one where Cyborg becomes the quintessential hero instead of Superman, Clark Kent is held captive as a lab-rat by the US Government, and Wonder Woman decimates western Europe in a war with Aquaman. In this alternate Universe, Thomas Wayne turns into Batman after the death of his son, Bruce. His wife turns mad and becomes the Joker.
