Jeff Goldblum on Laura Dern Possibly Coming Back to Jurassic World

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is bringing back original Jurassic alum Jeff Goldblum to reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm, but some people are curious if we'll be able to see even more appearances in the future from classic cat members.

Talking to Watch What Happens Live, Goldblum was asked if we might see the return of Laura Dern as Ellie Sattler in the franchise, to which he teased:

"I don't know for sure, I can't divulge anything…But maybe, maybe she will… then there's another one (Jurassic World 3) that some people may or may not be in."

In an earlier interview with Entertainment Tonight, Goldblum also shared that it would be "good news to me and to everyone, [to] millions and billions of people all over the world… all over the universe and cosmos when Ellie Sattler returns."

Even Dern had said back in December that she would love to reprise the character.

For now, we still don't know the extent of Goldblum's involvement with the series, but it looks like the government will be asking Malcolm to weigh in when it comes to the fate of the abandoned dinosaurs in the Jurassic World park. Seeing that Ellie Sattler had key involvement when it came to making the first theme park, I'm guessing she would also be asked to comment on the issue. Let's also not forget about Alan Grant.

For now, we can catch Ian Malcolm return in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom which is set to release in June 22.
