Jason Momoa Speaks Up About Emilia Clarke's Aneurysms On Game Of Thrones

Last month, people were shocked when Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke revealed she had suffered two life-threatening brain aneurysms in the early years of the HBO series. Now Clarke's co-star Jason Momoa has admitted he knew about the actress' brush with death and how they all dealt with it.

Momoa recently attended the Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere in New York City where he spoke to ET Online about supporting Clarke during those difficult times. The Aquaman actor confessed that he was afraid they would lose Clarke due to her aneurysms.

"I've kind of been a part of that whole situation for a very long time, so we've had so many scares and trying to find the right way to come out and help," he said. "I just think it's beautiful that... she's so brave in helping the world and trying to raise awareness."

"I'm very sad because we almost lost her the first time. So, I love her to bits and she's here and she's going to do great things with it and teach the world," Momoa added.

Clarke wrote a powerful essay where she shared how she suffered her first aneurysm at the age of 24. It happened after she finished working on the first season of Game of Thrones.

Momoa attended the premiere with wife Lisa Bonet. The Aquaman 2 actor expressed pride for being a part of the Game of Thrones event.

"It's an honor [to be here]," Momoa said. "I love David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss]. David, Dan, Emilia, Kit [Harington], those are the people I'm really closest to, so it's just, it's a beautiful thing to be a part of this show."

It is still unclear if Momoa will reprise his role as Khal Drogo in the final season. For now, we can rest assured that Clarke will be back as Daenerys Targaryen when Game of Thrones Season 8 airs on HBO on April 14.
