Jason Momoa Shares Concept Art For Canned Crow Remake, Apologizes to Fans

Just when it seemed like we were going to get a reboot of The Crow next year, complications arose and it led to lead star Jason Momoa leaving with director Corin Hardy. This means that the film is back in limbo and won't be getting out of it anytime soon, even though a release date was planned for next year.

On Instagram, Momoa not only revealed why he left the project but also showed off some cool concept art of what could have been. The picture even has the Aquaman star wearing the Crow's signature face paint, though most of that is blocked by the concept art.

The actor revealed that playing The Crow was a dream job for him but he feels that he has to wait a long time before he can fulfill it. Without giving away any details, he reveals that the film has to be set free and apologizes to the fans, as well as Crow creator James O'Barr.

He does still want to play the role but feels that it just isn't working with the current people who have the comic character's movie license. Apparently, the people who own the license had a big dispute with Sony, who was supposed to distribute the film nationwide. Now that it won't be happening, expect Sony to drop out of this project or attempt to cast someone else.

It's not all bad for Momoa though. He will be starring in December's Aquaman, which takes place after last year's Justice League.
