Jared Leto Gets the Crown of Thorns on New Justice League Image

Zack Snyder'sJustice League premieres in less than a month and a new set of poster reveals Jared Leto's Joker with a crown of thorns putting holy to the title of the Holy Clown Prince of Crime where Joker seems to get the crown of thorns, similar to what the imagery of Jesus Christ wore and Joker is just as haunting as ever in his new look.

The image was first released in an interview of Snyder which was published by Vanity Fair with the title of the article "Justice League: The Shocking, Exhilarating, Heartbreaking True Story of #TheSnyderCut" where Zack Snyder shared that he did not even see the 2017 version of Justice League after he departed from the project.

Although the article did not explain as to why Leto's Joker wears a medical garb with what looks like a crown of thorns evoking clearly the imagery of Jesus Christ, Snyder described that the Joker that will be gracing the Snyder Cut will not be the same as that of the one we saw in Suicide Squad. Joker will be one who appears as a vision by Batman if the Darkseid will not be stopped.

Snyder added that Joker will be analyzing Batman and his personality where Joker will be conversing with Batman about being Batman. In the previous incarnations of Joker and Batman, the two never really came together and as to Snyder, it would be cool that for once, they will come into an agreement on something.

Jared Leto's Joker will be returning in Zack Snyder's Justice League alongside Henry Cavill's Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Ezra Miller's The Flash, Ray Fisher's Cyborg, Amy Adams' Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons' Alfred Pennyworth, Diana Lane's Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds' Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor, J.K. Simmons' Commissioner Gordon, and Ray Porter's Darkseid.

Zack Snyder's Justice League premieres on March 18, 2021, via HBO Max.
