Jar Jar Binks Actor Complains That Disney’s Star Wars Movies Have ‘Left Out’ Children

Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy might have had its own level of commercial and critical success, however, Star Wars prequel trilogy actor Ahmed Best believes that the House of Mouse's Star Wars projects haven't really been making room for children to enjoy the films.

Speaking in an interview with Jamie Stangroom to talk about all things Star Wars, the Jar Jar Binks actor decided to open up about his thoughts about Disney's Star Wars films. According to Best, the House of Mouse's Star Wars films have been built only for "the millenials and gen-Xers like myself."

George Lucas might have made the Star Wars original trilogy with children in mind, however, Best believes that "there isn't very much for the kids" in Disney's Star Wars films.

"It's very much for the millennials and gen-Xers like myself," Best explained in his interview with Stangroom, "Kids are kind of left out of these, and the kids have to go to the animated series in order to get their dose of Star Wars."

Stangroom might have a point there. Not only do the new Star Wars films focus on more complex themes, but films like Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker have been focusing on older fans of the franchise.

Sure, Star Wars fans might argue that Lucasfim is still trying to make Star Wars as family friendly as possible, we know that Disney has to struggle pleasing different generations of Star Wars fans. In its attempt to please the older fanbase, Disney may have left younger fans behind.
