Japanese Fans Respond To Ghost in the Shell Casting of Scarlet Johansson

Following the Ghost in the Shell white-washing controversy of casting Scarlet Johansson as Major Motoko Kusanagi, YouTuber The Japanese Man Yuta decided to take it to the streets of Japan to ask fans what they think about the studio's decision of casting Johansson for a role that was originally intended to be Japanese, and their responses surprisingly don't reflect what a lot of Western fans think.

They do make some great points, like the fact that Motoko doesn't really look Japanese and that she's a fictional anime cyborg that could be played by anyone. The manga publisher recently approved the studio's casting decision. So what do you think?
