Halloween Ends (2022) has almost wrapped production, and it's no surprise that the first person who wants fans to know is Laurie Strode herself, Jamie Lee Curtis - the ultimate "Scream Queen". Let's find out what she had to say.

Halloween Ends will be released in theaters on October 14, so we don't have long before Michael Myers AKA "The Shape" returns to Haddonfield one last time (yeah right). And neither does Laurie Strode, for that matter.

Like the previous two entries, the film is directed by David Gordon Green and will serve as the concluding chapter in his new Halloween Trilogy, which retcons every single sequel since John Carpenter's 1978 classic.

That's a lot of sequels to ignore, but not that we can blame the filmmakers, because despite there being more decent entries than there should be in any given slasher series, it's all a bit of a mess in terms of storytelling.

Halloween Ends is actually the thirteenth movie in the Halloween franchise (or twelfth if you don't count the third movie Halloween III: Season of the Witch, which does not feature Michael Myers or Haddonfield).

David Gordon Green's Halloween Trilogy started with the 2018 film Halloween and continued with the 2021 sequel Halloween Ends. While future films are expected, Ends will wrap up this new series - or timeline - nonetheless.

And now, it looks like the upcoming sequel has almost wrapped production. Here's what Jamie Lee Curtis shared on her official Instagram account:

With Andi Matichak (who plays Allyson Nelson in the new Halloween movies) and director David Gordon Green by her side, Curtis says:

I cannot wait for you to see what we made for YOU!

Halloween Ends also marks Jamie Lee Curtis' seventh appearance as Laurie Strode, which spans three entirely separate timelines. The Halloween movies she has appeared in, including the upcoming Halloween Ends, are as follows:

Halloween (1978)

Halloween II (1981)

Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)

Halloween: Resurrection (2002)

Halloween (2018)

Halloween Kills (2021)

Halloween Ends

Whether or not Curtis will ever return remains to be seen (we've learned to never say never where the Halloween franchise is returned). Or, it's possible Laurie Strode will be played by another actress in yet another timeline.

As per Blumhouse Pictures (via Wikipedia), here's the official synopsis for Halloween Ends, the final chapter in David Gordon Green's Halloween Trilogy:

Four years after the events of Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson after the death of her parents.

Laurie has decided to take all the fear and rage, she has been holding onto for the last 4 decades and write a memoir which is almost completed.

Michael Myers has once again disappeared and hasn't been seen since. This time Laurie has decided to liberate her fear and rage and embrace life with open arms.

All is quiet in Haddonfield, but when a young man, Corey Cunningham, is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she couldn't control, once and for all.
