Halloween is currently blowing up the box office, and the spotlight is currently on actress Jamie Lee Curtis. News just in, she's been cast in Rian Johnson's next project, Knives Out.
As per Variety, Curtis has joined the all-star cast of the film which includes the likes of Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Michael Shannon, and Ana de Armas. The lead will be played by Daniel Craig who is said to be in the role of a detective.
No details have been given away about Curtis' role, but it's impressive that the film was able to land her. Curtis has just reached a milestone, starring in a film which had the highest grossing weekend with a woman over 55 in the lead.
Though Rian Johnson is most recognized for his work on Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Knives Out promises to be a movie closer to his other films like Brick and Looper. It's been described as a ‘modern-day murder mystery in the classic whodunit style.'
It's worth mentioning that Johnson has also been hired to direct and start his own Star Wars trilogy for Lucasfilm. With this project in the works, some people think that he's actually been fired; but after Knives Out, he's set to come right back to work for his spinoff trilogy. Sorry to disappoint any TLJ haters.
We don't have that much info on Knives Out yet, but Johnson is an acclaimed director and he's assembled quite the impressive cast. Hopefully, we get some significant updates on the film before the year ends.
No release date has been set for Knives Out.
