James Gunn Wrote Lines For The Guardians In Avengers: Infinity War

James Gunn sure is protective of his merry band of Marvel space misfits.

Not only did the Guardians of the Galaxy director coordinate with Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo to make sure that his cosmic superheroes got the right treatment in the film, but it looks like Gunn also wrote a few lines for the Guardians in the upcoming superhero smackdown movie.

Drax actor Dave Bautista got to speak with fans during this year's Awesome Con (via Super Bro Movies), and though the Guardians of the Galaxy star couldn't really share any of the details in Infinity War's story, he did share a bit of info about working on the highly-anticipated crossover movie.

Though fans might have thought that the Guardians were left in the hands of the Russo brothers for Infinity War, Bautista revealed that Gunn actually wrote some dialogue for his group of thugs-turned-heroes in the film.

Though Bautista didn't give any specifics about which lines Gunn wrote, it makes perfect sense that the Guardians of the Galaxy director would have a little hands-on work in Infinity War, especially since the movie and its sequel would serve as the prequels to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. And besides, the MCU's Guardians are Gunn's babies.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres April 27.
