James Gunn Wants to Share a Picture of Viola Davis in The Suicide Squad

The Suicide Squad is currently in production, and while James Gunn likes sharing photos of the filmmaking process, the director makes sure that his posts are all spoiler-free.

Earlier this week, the filmmaker decided to head to Instagram to share a photo of his cat, and there he revealed in the caption that he wished he could post a photo of Viola Davis as The Suicide Squad's Amanda Waller instead.

"I want to show you photos of the great @violadavis and #TheSuicideSquad cast today, who were amazing, but since that's still under wraps here's a pic of my #cat, #EmilyMonster. #catsofinstagram #cats," Gunn wrote in his caption of the post on Instagram.

It's pretty disappointing that Gunn can't post any spoilers from The Suicide Squad. Of course, the director wouldn't want to share photos from the set of the film that might give away vital information about the movie's plot. That would be counterproductive, really.

The bulk of The Suicide Squad has been shot in Atlanta, Georgia. In the next few days, the production will head over to Panama to film new scenes. There isn't that much information about the film just yet, however, The Suicide Squad is not going to serve as a sequel to David Ayer's Suicide Squad movie.

Gunn is directing the movie for the DC Extended Universe before he returns to Marvel to shoot Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
