James Gunn Teases Quasar For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

James Gunn's band of space misfits might grow a bit larger again when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hits the big screen.

The director may have just teased the inclusion of the artificially created offspring of Mar-Vell, Quasar in a seemingly innocent post about VCRs. Taking to Twitter earlier today, James Gunn shared a photo of a late 70's or early 80's VCR writing that "For some reason I'm just remembering now that as a kid my family's VCR had wood paneling."

Check it out down here:

The post seems innocent enough, just a tiny piece of wistful nostalgia. Well, that is until you spot the brand of the VCR, Quasar. A popular and powerful superhero in the Marvel franchise, Quasar, otherwise known as Wendel Vaughn, is a relatable human that would fit right in with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

There have been multiple versions of Quasar in the comics, but the most memorable versions of the character is the Wendell Holme's version where Holmes is a human with powers from Quantum Bads worn on the wrists.

Could Gunn really be teasing Quasar though, or could the director be creating another red herring? We'll have to wait and see. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 doesn't have a release date just yet, but we'll keep everyone updated as soon as we get word.
