The production for James Gunn's The Suicide Squad is still ongoing. And while there are multiple characters that are expected to be featured in the film, it seems like the director is hinting at another villain, this time, in the form of the iconic humanoid King Shark.

Gunn recently took to Instagram to share a holiday-themed photo of the movie, wishing everyone to have a very "Task Force X-Mas." The image shows the characters hanging out and celebrating the holidays at David Dastmalchian's house.

Spotted in the photo are action figures of various The Suicide Squad characters including Rick Flag, Boomerang, and Harley Quinn. Other toys are included in the ensemble as well, including Peter Capaldi's Doctor Who and John Cena's wrestling figure. What fans were enthusiastic about is that a King Shark figure was also included in the cake, and it seems like Gunn is hinting at a potential character appearance.

In the comments, a fan asked the director about whether or not the humanoid villain will actually be included in the upcoming movie. Gunn did provide an answer, but it isn't a definitive one. Instead, he just replied with a shrug emoji, so he didn't really confirm the character yet. However, based off of Gunn's teases, it is likely that King Shark will appear in the film. But for now, fans are just hoping for it to happen.

On the other hand, the actual confirmed cast includes Daniela Melchoir, Viola Davis, David Dastmalchian, John Cena, Idris Elba, Taika Waititi, and Peter Capaldi, among others.
