James Gunn Reveals New The Suicide Squad TV Spot Featuring The Thinker

We just got the first trailer for The Suicide Squad but now we're getting new teasers for the DC Extended Universe flick. Director James Gunn has just posted a new TV spot for his film and it features The Thinker sharing his thoughts on Task Force X's mission.

We only got a brief glimpse at The Thinker in the Suicide Squad trailer but it was immediately confirmed that he isn't one of the original members of Task Force X. In the scene, Rick Flag, Bloodsport, and even Harley Quinn warn him about the rules about joining their group.

Luckily, we now get to see a little bit more of that particular scene. Gunn posted the new TV spot on his official Twitter account and gushed about Peter Capaldi finally getting a chance to speak. Check it out below.

Not surprisingly, The Thinker doesn't have much to say other than state that their mission is "suicide". Flag immediately replies that "it's kind of our thing." We also get more of the awesome banter between Bloodsport and Peacemaker in the TV spot.

We're seeing so little of The Thinker right now but Gunn had previously confirmed that Capaldi will play a large role in The Suicide Squad. Interestingly, it might have something to do with his possible connection to the main villain Starro. Is The Thinker working for the alien starfish or will he be the one to save Task Force X?

The Suicide Squad will premiere in selected theaters and on HBO Max on August 6.
