Are you still rewatching Guardians of the Galaxy over and over again to try and find that final Easter Egg that nobody has discovered? Well, it looks like somebody actually came close to finding it. James Gunn has just offered an interesting update on the mysterious Easter Egg.

Gunn recently joined a Quarantine Watch Party of Guardians of the Galaxy online and the filmmaker even took time to answer fan questions. One query involved the last Easter Egg and if anyone has already guessed it. Interestingly, the Suicide Squad director revealed that someone got close but still missed the whole thing. Take a look at his tweet below.

"They've gotten about 60% of it," Gunn wrote before adding the hashtags #QuarantineWatchParty and #gotg.

Unfortunately, this doesn't really help us figure out just what the Easter Egg is. Nevertheless, it has sparked interest in the film all over again and fans are hoping to finally uncover the final mystery reference in Guardians of the Galaxy.

There have been several guesses about the final Easter Egg. For instance, there were speculations that it might be Man-Thing being a part of the Collector's menagerie. However, Gunn has yet to confirm whether this is even a real Easter Egg or not.

For now, fans will have to continue with the Easter Egg hunt. In the meantime, Gunn is remotely working on the post-production of The Suicide Squad. The filmmaker is then expected to begin work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 by next year.
