Fans were understandably concerned about GOTGV3 after several MCU films were delayed by Disney. However, Gunn was quick to assure fans that they won't have to wait too long for the third Guardians movie.

It's great to know that plans for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 have not been delayed considering that the project has already gone through so much in the past. There were concerns about the sequel's future after Gunn was removed from the film back in 2018 before being reinstated a year later.

It was previously reported that several major MCU movies are being pushed back by Disney. It was confirmed that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will get a later release from March 25, 2022 to May 6, 2022 which is supposed to be Thor: Love and Thunder's premiere. This means Thor 4 is now scheduled for July 8, 2022.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was originally set for the July release date but is now pushed to November 11, 2022. This means The Marvels will be delayed to February 17, 2023, taking the original release date of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. In turn, the Paul Rudd movie is now scheduled for July 28, 2023, two months after the release of GOTGV3.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will bring back Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel. The sequel is still scheduled for release on May 5, 2023.
