James Gunn Names Two Villains He'd Want To See in Guardians of the Galaxy Sequels

Guardians of the Galaxy writer/director James Gunn recently recorded a video in which he revealed two Fantastic Four characters he'd want to see in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequels, and they're both overpowered supervillains who could rival Thanos: Annhilus and Kang:

I probably wouldn't add Ben Grimm to the Guardians team even if they were a part of the MCU. And of course I would love the FF to be a part of the MCU…Fox owns so many great villains and cosmic characters I would love to play around with including Annihilus — and I think they own Kang

So who are Annhilus and Kang?

Annhilus is an insect-looking winged Athrosian ruler and Lord of the Negative Zone. He brandishes a Cosmic Control Rod and rivals Thanos in strength. Annhilus also possesses speed, stamina, durability, and agility, which makes him a nightmare for heroes like the Fantastic Four.

Kang the Conqueror is a power-hungry time-traveller whose past is complicated. He's faced off against the Aveners and Fantastic Four.

It's unlikely that we'll see these two 20th Century Fox-owned characters joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon, but since the last Fantastic Four movie tanked, I hope the studios would work on a deal to revive the franchise.
