The new DC Universe is still years away from being launched but James Gunn and Peter Safran have already laid out their plans for the rebooted franchise. From the get-go, the DC Studios co-CEOs have made their intentions clear that not all actors from the SnyderVerse (we'll just call it that) will become part of the new DCU but the possibility of some stars reprising their roles isn't out of the window.

As per the latest reports, only Jason Momoa and the cast of The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker are reportedly locked to appear in the new DCU. Now, Gunn has confirmed that Steve Agee is also part of the rebooted universe.

Sharing a heartfelt greeting on social media for his 54th birthday, Gunn revealed that Agee's Peacemaker character John Economos will be joining the new DCU. It was recently revealed that a second season of the John Cena-led HBO Max series is still in the works so of course, Agee's involvement comes as a no-brainer.

But Gunn teased that the beloved character will show up sooner than anyone thinks. He wrote: "Happy Birthday to my great friend & collaborator & peak Economos (who you’ll see sooner than you think)". Check it out here:

Interestingly, despite the forthcoming reboot, Peacemaker's follow-up having the "Season 2" denotation creates some confusion regarding Gunn and Safran's long-term DCU plans. Of course, there's a good chance that Season 2 is among the final projects under the "DCEU" brand and once the reboot has finally taken place, the show could very well become a blank canvas.

The first season of Peacemaker is available to stream on HBO Max.
