James Gunn Claims Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Script Isn't That Sad

There is little doubt that fans are excited about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. After all, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff have both been claiming that the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel is going to be heartbreaking. However, James Gunn claims that it isn't really that sad after all.

Gillan had previously revealed that she read the Vol. 3 script with Klementieff and stated that it was "so emotional" and that there was a "flood of tears." Not surprisingly, fans were moved by the description. That was until Gunn decided to point out that there's another reason why everyone was crying while reading the screenplay.

Gunn also offered another possible reason why Gillan and Klementieff were in tears.

We all know he's just kidding but it's great to get some of Gunn's humor yet again. We're still expecting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to be a heartbreaking movie yet again. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what Gunn has in store for us in the third Guardians film.

For now, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is just a screenplay but the movie is supposed to begin production soon. Although Marvel Studios hasn't confirmed a production start date for the project, fans are hoping it will begin filming by next year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will also star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper. The movie is scheduled for release on May 5, 2023.
