With several rumors surfacing online regarding Gunn and his co-chairman Peter Safran's plans for the new DCU franchise, the Superman: Legacy director has decided to address it once again on Twitter where he called out the "bullshit" claims.

Gunn also advised fans to not believe any rumors that they're seeing around the web except if it's an official announcement from them.

"I’m getting barraged with bullshit DC rumors this morning. I’ll just reiterate the general rule not to believe anything unless it comes from me or Peter," he tweeted.

"But, unless it’s especially egregious, I’m going to slow down on calling shit out. (Sorry, I know, it’s one of my favorite traditions)."

The DC Studios co-chairman also shared the reasons why he is addressing the new DCU rumors online.

He continued, "1) Some people are making up lies to get attention from me or to get clicks & I don’t want to encourage that. 2) I’ve read a hundred rumors this morning. ONE of them is half-true. So I don’t want to be used as a way for people to throw nonsense at the wall until something sticks."

We have witnessed in the last few months that Gunn has been frequently addressing the various DC rumors online whether it's tweeting a statement or responding to a fan question.

It's not really surprising to see at this point that Gunn addressed the rumors once again and, hopefully, this would discourage fans to spread information that is not coming from a reliable source.

Gunn ended his statement on Twitter by sharing the latest update on Superman: Legacy where he revealed that he is already in the storyboard process of the film.

"3) I’m storyboarding Superman Legacy and don’t have time! Have a great day!," the director concluded.

In a follow-up question from a fan, the DC Studios co-chairman also revealed that the script is already "far from the first draft."

It should be noted that Gunn is currently not allowed to do any rewrite or retouching on the script due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike where all writers are forbidden to do any work.

However, it does imply that the script has already gone through multiple drafts and Gunn is now confident to move on with the storyboard process based on the latest version that he penned before the strike commenced.

We should be hearing more updates about this in the coming months as production is expected to begin early next year.
