James Cameron Reveals Terminator 6 Working Title

(Paramount Pictures)

We still don't know much about what's going to happen in the highly anticipated Terminator 6. However, producer James Cameron has finally revealed the working title for the Tim Miller film and it certainly sounds ominous.

Cameron recently spoke to Yahoo! about the sixth Terminator movie that will bring back Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor. The Avatar director confirmed that the crew already has a title in mind for the film and it doesn't sound hopeful for humanity.

"We're calling it Terminator: Dark Fate," Cameron admitted. "That's our working title right now."

Despite the dark subtitle, the Titanic filmmaker stated that there is still hope in the film. "I tend to be optimistic about people and our capacity to solve problems," Cameron said. "When I think of us as empathic beings, I think we're going to get through this OK. When I see how people lose their empathy when they get into positions of power, then I lose that hope."

Although he refused to share more about Dark Fate, Cameron couldn't help but praise Miller as a director.

"Tim's a very willful and opinionated director, and he's got his own ideas for the film. I'm kind of like the Pips — he's Gladys," he said, making a reference to Gladys Knight and her musical act.

The film will also star Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes, and Diego Boneta. John Conner will be played by Jude Collie, who once served as Edward Furlong's body double in 1991's Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

Terminator: Dark Fate is scheduled for release on November 1.
