Jaimie Alexander to Return as Lady Sif in Thor: Love and Thunder

There is little doubt that fans are still hoping that nothing bad happened to Lady Sif after the character's absence in Thor: Ragnarok. Luckily, it looks like the Asgardian warrior is set for a major comeback. It has been confirmed that Jaimie Alexander will finally reprise her role as Sif in Thor: Love and Thunder.

The confirmation comes from Deadline, which revealed that Alexander is joining the cast of the fourth Thor movie. This means she is set for a reunion with Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, who she had previously worked with in the first two Thor films.

So what's so awesome about Lady Sif's return in Thor: Love and Thunder? This could mean she will finally meet Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie, who was introduced in Ragnarok. We're loving the idea of these two warriors possibly butting heads and working together soon. In addition to that, Sif could be a great help for Thor now that it has been confirmed that Christian Bale is playing Gorr the God Butcher.

Interestingly, Love and Thunder isn't the only major project for Alexander now that she is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was also revealed that Lady Sif is set to appear in the Loki series starring Tom Hiddleston. With that in mind, it would be cool to see how her interactions with the God of Mischief will be.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be directed by Taika Waititi and the project is expected to begin production early next year. The film is currently scheduled for release on May 6, 2022.
