Jaime Lannister Defended Game of Thrones Season 8 During SDCC and Got Booed For It

Game of Thrones will go down as one of the best shows to ever run on television, no questions asked. The quality of production, CGI, and acting was on par with most Hollywood fantasy movies and, in some cases, even exceeded most of them. Sure, it had a horrible final season that left almost everyone who saw it disappointed but that's just a minor stain on its legacy.

Unsurprisingly, there was a big Game of Thrones panel during SDCC were the cast and crew would discuss their experiences with season 8. Funnily enough, writers David Benioff and David Weiss dropped out of SDCC at the last minute, with many of us wondering if it was done to avoid fan vitriol.

That might have been the case since actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played Jaime Lannister, was booed for defending the show's ending, along with his character's final fate.

I think we can all agree that booing the actor for sticking to his (or the company's) guns was a bit much. We definitely disagree with the fact that this was the "perfect" way to end Jaime's story since he went through one of the best character arcs in television history. Still, the man went out of his way to go here and meet with fans (while getting paid a hefty sum to do so) and the heckling was a bit much.

Still a crappy final season though.
