The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live episode 5 puts an end to one of the characters on the show. With the character's demise, we glimpse Jadis' Maggie painting in The Ones Who Live.
Along with this, avid fans can't help but recall the first time they saw the painting in The Walking Dead. It also raised some questions about who painted it in the first place.

Why Was Jadis' Maggie Painting in The Ones Who Live?
Considering this is the episode where Jadis (played by Pollyanna McIntosh) meets her end, it was only fitting for the painting to be seen in the show.
Our guess is that it was the creators' way of reminding people that Jadis wasn't bad from the beginning, especially when she was still Annie.
It also highlighted who Jadis was before the zombie apocalypse. Long before she became Jadis, many fans forgot that she was Annie, an art teacher from Virginia.
She continued to frequent garbage dumps so she could look for material to use for her paintings.
When she joined the CRM, however, every trace of Annie had disappeared. So it was a fitting homage to her character so fans don't simply remember her as Jadis.
Also, the appearance of the painting gave avid fans the Maggie (played by Lauren Cohan) and Glenn (played by Steven Yeun) cameo they hoped for.

Who Did the Painting?
At the same time, seeing Jadis' Maggie painting in The Ones Who Live re-opens a previous question that fans wondered long ago.
Annie's paintings first appeared in season 9, but many have wondered who painted them. Even though Annie's name was written on the corner of the paintings, fans questioned why she was able to paint some of the original TWD actors clearly.
Some even asked if it was Maggie who painted them.
But others explained that Annie was able to do police sketch portraits for Father Gabriel in season 9. Because of this, she had the skills to paint someone's appearance without meeting them in the past.
Another Redditor pointed out that the colors of the paintings were interestingly done in a way that identified Maggie's blood relations (except Glenn).
Those who were directly related to Maggie were painted green. Meanwhile, those who weren't were painted blue (for female) and red (for male).
