IU clarifies that she will not star in a new Kdrama.
On April 6, EDAM Entertainment told news outlets that their artist IU was offered to appear in a new Kdrama, but she politely declined.
The Kdrama in talks will be helmed by Crash Landing On You and My Love From The Star writer Park Ji Eun. It will be about a chaebol family, and IU was supposedly one of the main cast.
However, the singer-actress clarified that she would not participate in the upcoming drama.

Aside from IU, Kim Soo Hyun was reportedly starring in the new Kdrama. However, a day after IU rejected participation in the drama, Gold Medalist Kim Soo Hyun’s agency denied reports that the actor received a casting offer or script.

IU As A Sought-After Actress
