It's Official! Batman Will Appear in Season Finale of DC Universe's Titans

Fans always wondered if we would see Batman appear in DC Universe's Titans, as the series has teased the Dark Knight appearing many times and Bruce has been a focal point of Dick Grayson's origin story. Well, DC Universe has released the explosive trailer for the show's season finale and it confirms that we will be seeing Batman but not the one we grew up with.

This isn't your daddy's Batman. Heck, it might not even be yours.

Opening with a crippled Jason Todd approaching Dick, he reveals that Commissioner Gordon has been killed and Batman isn't the same person he once was. As we watch the trailer, it turns out that was a huge understatement as Batman goes on a killing spree, as we see the corpses of Two-Face and The Joker.

Yes. The Joker is dead.

It's a bold use of Batman since the character is known for not killing anyone, even his worst enemies. While there have been alternate takes that had him commit the deed, like the one in Tim Burton's movies and the most recent Gotham series, it's still shocking to see him murder a ton of his foes. Robin and the Titans will now bring him down, even though Dick was hoping to help him overcome his demons.

So yeah, the finale of Titans season one has Batman vs Robin. That's crazy and it shows that taking risks like these can lead to an entertaining product. Here is hoping that the finale lives up to the hype.

The Titans finale airs next week on DC Universe.
