Zombie Land Saga is back with a vengeance (see what I did there?)!
The second anime season of Zombie Land Saga titled Zombie Land Saga: Revenge premiered on April 8th and has been quickly finding the same quick step that the first season had. In the second season, it seems that Franchouchou has fallen on hard times. After one of their shows goes disastrously bad, the girls all have to take part-time jobs to get the band out of debt and get Kotaro out of his depression. After they manage to do that, a newly recharged Kotaro begins his quest to revitalize the careers of his zombie idols!
Zombie Land Saga: Revenge features a returning studio MAPPA, along with all the primary cast and crew members returning to reprise their original roles. This means that if you have a particular attachment to anyone in the cast, you can be rest assured that they will be back to voice your favorite zombie idol waifu.
Is Zombie Land Saga Revenge on Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu, or Funimation in English Sub or Dub?
This is kind of a tricky one to answer. As of April 2021, the only place to watch this series legally is Crunchyroll, where they have it available in its original Japanese with English subtitles. However, earlier in the year, Funimation revealed they had licensed the series and would release it on their streaming service. This is purely informed conjecture at this point, but I'm guessing that Funimation will host the English dub for the series and will release it before the end of the year.
Zombie Land Saga: Revenge is one of those shows where you can just tune in and enjoy it, even if you're going in blind. While comedy will always be subjective, this is a series that most everyone can get behind thanks to its clever writing, fun music, and progressive views on social politics by including a transgender character that isn't just a caricature or has their feelings treated as a joke.
