Is Tom Holland's Next Spider-Man Movie His Last?

Spider-Man: Far From Home proved to be a fairly entertaining romp, not only bookending the Infinity Saga in a strong way but also setting up a massive change in the status quo for all of the characters involved. Things haven't been this exciting and tense for the wallcrawler in a long time and you bet that fans are more than interested to see the third film (after Black Widow, The Eternals, and Shang-Chi of course…).

But will this next Spider-Man movie be the last to feature lead star Tom Holland? Let's hope not.

According to an observation from ComicBook.com, Holland has already done five of the six films his contract required him to do. He appeared as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far From Home. This means that Holland's next Spider-Man film could be his last.

Granted, Sony probably realizes that Tom Holland will be the centerpiece of the MCU so there's a very good chance that he will get a beefier contract that the actor will be more than happy to sign. This is all just speculation of course and Holland has admitted to wanting to play as the wallcrawler for years to come.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is now showing in theaters.
