Is This The Leaked Pokemon Go Official Gameplay Video?

Pokemon Go news had been scant since Nintendo announced the mobile game in development months ago. Naturally, Pokemon fans will grab on to every bit of news they could get their sights on.

Now, a new video has surfaced which shows Niantic Studios appearing to be near completion with the game. The mobile app-accessible game finished beta testing last month and tic CEO John Hanke also made a statement at SXSW Gaming last week.

The video below seems legitimate given the current circumstances. The new video features a Pokemon Go player catching Ivysaur outside Niantic’s San Francisco base. Ivysaur is portrayed in the "real world" via the camera as a Google Map shows other Pokemon near the area. There’s also a Poke Ball-switching ability for players and a "level up" system where trainers can earn XP after catching Pokemon.

Pokemon Go allows players to catch and fight Pokemon  in the real world via a mobile app together with a special bluetooth device.

Nintendo has not announced a release date for Pokemon Go, but if the video above is anything to go by, it would seem the game could be out anytime soon, especially since Pokemon is celebrating its twentieth anniversary.
