Matthias is the main protagonist of The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest and he is born as the world’s most powerful sage yet his strength is only limited to what the magical crest could give him and he finally decided to go through reincarnation which he deemed necessary to be able to become the strongest of all. When he got reborn, Mathias discovers that he is now with an optimal crest, but the world he entered has poor standards. Now, he has to prove that he is the best of all.
The anime show has 12 episodes which will span through one season in a single-cour running without any breaks in between the season but not including the weekly interval of every episode. It will be streaming online through Crunchyroll in its original Japanese audio with English subtitles. Crunchyroll offers their premium access subscribers for the price of $9.99 a month, or $79.99 a year for a one-week earlier access of the episodes.
As regards the English dubbed version of the series, Crunchyroll already announced that the anime show will be having one and it would be streaming on the same platform alongside the release of the original Japanese audio version with English subtitles. The Strongest Sage With The Weakest Crest English dubbed version premiered on February 19, 2022.

The anime adaptation of The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest is from the pages of the light novel series, Shikkakumon no Saikyō Kenja, written by Shinkoshoto with the illustrations of Huuka Kazabana which is published online on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, a user-generated publishing site. It was later taken by SB Creative, with fourteen volumes to date. It is still ongoing.
