In case you missed it, Disney+ has greenlit a third season for the hit Star Wars spinoff series The Mandalorian and it's an unprecedented move when you think about it considering we haven't even seen Season 2. Now, while we await the series' return later this month on the Disney streaming service, new details about the third season have already been revealed online.

The DisInsider's Editor-in-Chief Skyler Shuler has leaked Season 3's working title and it has something to do with pirates. According to Shuler, The Mandalorian Season 3 will be called "Buccaneer" while in production. That term is of course associated with pirates. Now, could this mean Season 3 is set to feature space pirates similar to what we saw in The Clone Wars?

In his next tweet, Shuler would then reveal that cameras will begin rolling for the new season this November. Of course, take everything with a grain of salt but it's worth noting that Jon Favreau himself confirmed that Pedro Pascal and the rest of the crew will return for production by the end of this year.

Disney sure is capitalizing on the growing popularity of the Star Wars spinoff show and by the looks of it, they're pretty confident Season 2 could replicate or even surpass the success of its predecessor. I'm not doubting that, of course, as The Mandalorian has somewhat reinvigorated the entire Star Wars franchise ever since it landed on our streaming devices. And with how promising Season 2's plot is shaping up to be, I'm seeing greater things for the entire future of the series. I can't wait to see what goes down in the second season!

The Mandalorian
Season 2 hits Disney+ this October 30.
