Mandalorians first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back as super commandoes in white armor. Mandalorians were originally associated with the character Boba Fett who was not identified as a Mandalorian in the film.

Later series, novels, and films in the franchise later on expanded on Mandalorians, defining being a Mandalorian as a way of life shared by all who come from different races in and around Mandalore, sharing one creed and ideology.

So, is The Mandalorian canceled? No, it's not! It even has a new season on the way!

The first season of The Mandalorian premiered on November 2019, with the second season coming out on October 2020. The third season of the series is set to come out on February 2023.

Reports also claim that The Mandalorian was already renewed for a season 4, with rumors flying around saying the cast and crew have already resumed filming for the series.

We will be seeing most of the cast from the previous seasons return to play their roles.

The entire team of The Mandalorian has kept mum about the plot of the season, but when Favreau sat for an interview with The Dagobah Dispatch Podcast, he explained Din Djarin's need to redeem himself:

Well, we established in The Book of Boba Fett that there was an opportunity for The Mandalorian to be redeemed, because he had transgressed against the Creed by removing his helmet. And among his group of Mandalorians, that is something that’s not permitted. Now, we know that there are other groups of Mandalorians where they have different sets of rules. In the Clone Wars, we saw with Dave and also with the character that I voiced that the Mandalorians are very different there. And so these different groups are coming together and we’re going to figure out… the Nexus point for all of those communities, of course, is their homeworld from which they’re exiled, which is Mandalore.
